The 19-year-old has been linked with several top clubs in recent times after becoming regarded as one of Europe’s best young talents, with Chelsea and Real Madrid among those interested.
However, Sterling now looks likely to sign a new contract with Liverpool and commit his future to the club, with wages of around £100,000 per week.
It will also see his asking price raised to £60m, which may prove too much even for big-spenders such as Chelsea and Real.
