Comings and goings expected at Liverpool this summer as Anfield exit doors swing open.
Liverpool hope to cut some of the deadwood from their squad this summer with four players heading for an exit over the next month.
The Liverpool Echo report that Andy Carroll, Dani Pacheco, Danny Wilson and Oussama Assaidi are all set to depart in the coming weeks, and there could be more to follow.
Carroll is currently the subject of a £15m bid from West Ham United, and is mulling over a permanent switch to the East London club having spent the season on loan at Upton Park.
The huge striker receives a wage package befitting a £35 million player at Anfield, and may have to lower his demands if West Ham are to afford him.
Pacheco and Wilson leave Liverpool after failing to make the grade having signed as young players, but Assaidi’s transfer appears more curious by the day.
Having only made four substitute appearances in the Premier League, and a handful of Europa League starts, Aissaidi has not made the impression he perhaps would have liked.
With Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group set to provide Rodgers with a mere £20 million in the transfer market, player sales will be crucial for the club to progress.
These four departures will be a start, though only Carroll is set to attract a decent fee.
