How the stars of the Reds rated in a drawn match at the Hawthorns.
Liverpool did not grasp the chance to extend the gap between themselves and the other Champions League hopefuls after a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
A goal from Daniel Sturridge gave the Merseysiders the lead, only for a costly mistake from Kolo Toure leading to Victor Anichebe’s equaliser for the hosts.
Here’s how the away side rated.
Simon Mignolet – 7
Was untested in the first half, but sprang to life in the second to deny Baggies defender Gareth McAuley’s powerful header and could do nothing about Anichebe’s goal.
Jon Flanagan – 6
Another solid game for the youngster, who has ignored the mockery previously aimed at the right-back and now looks like a very promising talent.
Kolo Toure – 5
Not a great day for the Ivorian who gifted the hosts an equaliser when passing the ball square across the box straight to Anichebe and Toure will want to move on as soon as possible.
Martin Skrtel – 6
Nothing to do in the first half and looked comfortable, but as West Brom grew stronger after half-time had plenty to deal with.
Aly Cissokho – 5
Had poor positioning and was a weak link in defence for the away side, but can provide a useful outlet in attack – Brendan Roders will be counting down the days until Jose Enrique’s return though.
