Liverpool are ready to spend once again in the January transfer window.
Liverpool have endured a disappointing Premier League campaign so far, although a narrow win at Burnley courtesy of a Raheem Sterling goal, following on from Martin Skrtel’s late equaliser against Arsenal, could give an air of optimism to the Anfield faithful heading into the new year.
Plenty of reports have suggested that Brendan Rodgers will once again be allowed to move into the transfer market in January, with the Reds looking to right the wrongs of a profligate summer, with the Daily Express reporting that the club have drawn up this ambitious eight man shortlist of signings ahead of the window:
Victor Valdes (Unattached)
Currently training with Manchester United in a bid to prove his fitness after a serious injury, former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is currently still a free agent. With Liverpool’s goalkeeping crisis, Valdes has emerged as a realistic candidate to replace Simon Mignolet.
