Bordeaux man set for Anfield or Old Trafford?
Manchester United and Liverpool are following the progress of Bordeaux centre back Ludovic Sané, fanatix has learned.
Sané has been in wonderful form for the Ligue 1 side this season, and has helped his team to a respectable seventh in the table – just three points off the European places.
It is thought that Liverpool and Man Utd would want to employ Sané in different positions, should they manage to sign him.
Sané has been immense at the back for Bordeaux, but has also filled in with considerable success in the middle of the park as a destroyer.
Liverpool are looking for a replacement for Jamie Carragher, who these days has a turning circle exactly the size of the equator, whilst the clear void in the Manchester United team is in defensive midfield.
Whilst Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher have performed well for the Red Devils when selected, neither is a disciplined anchor man in midfield dedicated to tackling, and Sané could fit in perfectly.
Liverpool are thought to be considering a player closer to the finished article than Sebastian Coates, who has been linked with the likes of Napoli, Lazio, Juventus and Santos on both permanent and loan deals.
Sané excels when it comes to tackling, aerial duels, positioning and passing, so would make a fine signing for either side.
At 25, he is ready to move to one of Europe’s big clubs, and the Senegal international ought to qualify for a work permit as he also possesses a French passport.
