The winger, who won the League Two Player of the Month award for December and graduated into the club’s first team via their youth setup, has been attracting the attentions of a number of Premier League clubs this season, including the Reds’ Merseyside rivals Everton.
And, Chesterfield chief executive Chris Turner, who values the winger at £2 million, also confirmed that both those top-flight clubs have recently sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old in action.
“Tendayi is a fantastic talent and we would never stand in the way of a player from moving to a Premier League club,” Turner said.
“A lot of top clubs have been tracking him for quite a while and it is no surprise – Tendayi is a player with exceptional potential who deserves to play at the very top.
“We had this situation with Jordan Bowery in the summer when he moved to Aston Villa – Chesterfield is a great place for young players to improve and show people what they can do.
“If a bid were to come we would of course sit down and discuss it.”
