Uruguay attacker had been expected to exit the Reds.
Liverpool have received huge boost with the news that coveted front man Luis Suarez is “happy” at Anfield and has no plans whatsoever to depart the Reds this summer, reports the Daily Mirror.
The controversial Uruguay international has been the subject of intense speculation of late that the previous season will be his last in a Liverpool shirt, with the likes of both Spanish giants Real Madrid and Uefa Champions League holders Bayern Munich reportedly keen to sign the 26-year-old when the transfer window reopens for business on July 1.
Suarez has just enjoyed a sensational campaign in front of goal for the Merseyside giants, netting an eye-catching 23 goals in just 33 Premier League games for Brendan Rodger’s side.
Meanwhile overall, the forward registered 30 goals in only 44 outings, however, his season came to a premature end when he was hit with a ten-game ban by The Football Association for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
However, the player’s agent has now come out to insist that Suarez is “happy” at Liverpool, telling Sky Sports News that he will still be at the club next season.
