The Italian champions are eyeing up Januzaj.
Manchester United face a tough task to hold onto teenage sensation Adnan Januzaj, as Juventus are keen to repeat the success of Paul Pogba’s signing 12 months ago and also land the Belgian, according to Calcio Mercato.
After not getting much playing time at Old Trafford, France under-20 captain Pogba decided to leave England for the Serie A champions – becoming an important member of Antonio Conte’s side and playing 37 matches in all competitions, as well as winning the Italian league title.
Now Juve are looking to draw on that success to tempt another wonderkid from the Red Devils to make the switch to Turin.
The 18-year-old Januzaj is carving a great reputation for himself in United’s youth academy and contributed with five assists in 19 matches in the under-21 Premier League last season.
The young midfielder also managed to score in the club’s last pre-season friendly against FC Kitchee on Monday in a game the English champions won 5-2.
However, it’s unlikely Januzaj will be given much first team opportunities in the upcoming season and La Bianconeri are hoping to capitalise on this once again to convince the midfield starlet to move to Italy.
It would be a further blow to new manager David Moyes if this happened, as the Scot has not had much luck in the transfer window since taking over the reigns from Sir Alex Ferguson.
So far Uruguayan youngster Guillermo Varela is the only new face at United, with the continued pursuit of Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas seemingly going nowhere.
