Arsenal look set to miss out on another target this summer as Juventus are reportedly preparing a final assault for Julian Draxler.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian giants will make a new bid of €27m, which will comprise of €18m up front and then a further €9m in bonuses, as reported by Football Italia.
However, it remains to be seen whether or not it is enough to convince Schalke to part company with their prized asset, as they have insisted that his price-tag remains at €30m.
Furthermore, it is suggested that they have made it clear that they will not accept anything less, while Draxler has an offer of a five-year deal worth €3.2m per season waiting for him if the two clubs can reach an agreement.
Juve have been linked with numerous star names over the summer, and Tottenham duo Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen continue to be mentioned as alternatives should they fail in their bid to sign Draxler.
Meanwhile, it is unclear if the latest development will force Arsene Wenger into action as the Gunners boss has been linked with a move for the German international in the past.
It doesn’t appear as though he is interested in making a bid though, with reports suggesting that Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is still the top target if the club do delve into the market.
