The 21-year-old set social media alight with his stellar performance, receiving praise from sports stars across the world as well as fellow competitors at Augusta.
Spieth (70) finished the tournament an 18-under par 270, equalling Tiger Woods’ record low at Augusta in 1997.
The 21-year-old is the second-youngest ever winner at the Masters and became the first man ever to reach 19 under at Augusta when he birdied the 15th hole.
Spieth was congratulated by Masters’ rivals Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood, and received heavy praise from the likes of former England footballer Gary Lineker, ex-tennis star Andy Roddick and Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki.
