Chelsea skipper has been mightily impressed by Nemanja Matic.
Chelsea captain John Terry has been one of a number of Chelsea players to impress with their performances for Jose Mourinho’s Premier League table toppers this season, but the skipper has singled out one player for particular praise according to the Express.

The man in question is defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic, who has been immense for the club since returning from Benfica in January for a huge fee, but one which has certainly been justified by the Serbian’s fine displays.
Indeed, Terry believes that Matic’s performances have been reminiscent of the defensive midfielder in Jose Mourinho’s first Chelsea team, the imperious Claude Makelele:
“Matic is the closest thing we’ve got to Makelele and he’s doing great for the team.”
“At Newcastle, we missed him. But John Obi Mikel has come in and done brilliantly and that shows our strength in depth.”
