Denver Broncos TE Julius Thomas will not be active in today’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the star TE won’t play today because of an ankle injury he suffered last week against the St. Louis Rams. The injury was not as serious as initially feared, but the team plans to rest Thomas regardless.
Thomas leads the NFL in receiving TDs with 12. He needs only two more to tie the team record held by Anthony Miller (1995) and Demaryius Thomas (2013). In 2013, after also recording 12 TDs in a season, Thomas made his first Pro Bowl.
The Broncos lost last week to the Rams after losing both Thomas and WR Emmanuel Sanders in the same game.
