Floyd Mayweather has mocked rival Manny Pacquiao on Twitter by labelling his pay-per-view numbers “a joke” amid rumours they could fight in 2015.
Pacquaio began the new war of words on Thursday by calling his rival out as rumours continue to spread that the duo are set to finally meet in the ring in 2015.
The 35-year-old is set to face Chris Algieri in November in Macau, but he wasn’t impressed by Mayweather’s revelations in his ‘All Access’ show and believes that he has no intention of fighting him.
With Mayweather improving his record to 47-0 with a win over Marcos Maidana earlier this month, he suggested that he will only have two more fights before retiring from the sport.
That would tie in with the fact that he only has two more fights in his contract with Showtime, and so it is likely that the fight will have to happen in 2015 or it won’t happen at all.
While boxing fans around the world continue to wait for news, Mayweather has taken another shot at his long-time rival and mocked his ability to bring numbers to the table…
