Titans star Greg Bird’s week has gone from bad to worse after it emerged he had suffered a knee injury in training before facing a club disciplinary hearing on Thursday.
Reports suggest Bird suffered a medial strain, however the full extent of the injury is unknown at this stage.
The forward faced the hearing alongside teammate James Roberts on Thursday, with the 30-year-old expected to be handed a hefty fine as well as the prospect of losing the co-captaincy after he was issued a criminal infringement notice for urinating in public.
Roberts appeared at the hearing after being arrested in late October after an alcohol-fuelled night out.
The youngster had charges of public nuisance and obstruction dropped at the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The Titans will formally announce the outcome of the hearing on Friday.
