Gold Coast Titans have confirmed the capture of Brisbane Broncos prop Josh Hoffman on a three-year deal.
The 26-year-old had been given permission by the Broncos to negotiate with rival NRL clubs earlier this month.
Despite also gaining interest from the Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors, Hoffman decided to stay in Queensland.
“In response to speculation in the media the Titans can confirm this afternoon we agreed to terms with Kiwi international Josh Hoffman who the Brisbane Broncos have agreed to release from his contract with the club,” a Titans statement said.
It is now expected the Broncos will sign former Newcastle Knights prop Darius Boyd, with Hoffman’s departure freeing up room in the Broncos’ salary cap.
