Gold Coast Suns ruckman Daniel Gorringe has hit out at Twitter critics after his requested trade to Port Adelaide fell through.
The 22-year-old nominated the Power as his preferred destination.
The Suns and the Power were unable to strike a deal for Gorringe, who has a year left on his contract at the expansion club.

Suns football operations manager Marcus Ashcroft said that Gorringe was part of the club’s plans in 2015.
“Unfortunately Port weren’t able to come up with a deal that we were happy with,” Ashcroft said.
“Obviously their efforts were concentrated on Paddy Ryder. From our point of view we’re rapt to have Dan with our club next year.
“As I’ve said right the way through, we think he’s part of our core, a required player at our footy club for 2015, and we think he can play some really good footy.”
