Geelong Cats defender Taylor Hunt has been informed by the club that he will not be offered a new contract ahead of the 2015 AFL season.
Hunt’s manager Anthony McConville says he remains optimistic about the 23-year-old’s future and is certain his client will attract plenty of interest from rival AFL clubs.
He’ll be a delisted free agent if that’s the case, and I’m sure there won’t be any shortage of potential suitors as well,” McConville told AFL Trade Radio.
“If that’s the way it all heads then obviously we’ll deal with that next week and thereafter.
“Hopefully something may come up in the next 24 hours but at this point in time it’s more likely he’ll be a delisted free agent.”
Hunt has played 63 games with the Cats since debuting in 2010.
