Twente star Bryan Ruiz has revealed that Fulham have joined the race to sign him, with Arsenal and Tottenham also keen on the talented forward.
The Costa Rican international had been strongly linked with Tottenham and Harry Redknapp admitted his interest and even attended FC Twente’s UEFA Champions League qualifier against Benfica on Tuesday night to watch the player in action.
However, Fulham have now emerged as serious contenders for the £13 million-rated Ruiz, who admitted a deal with the West London club be on the cards.
Ruiz told De Telegraaf: “Fulham is a serious option for me.
“That is also a Premier League side and it is a fantastic league.
“Fulham already contacted my agent. If Fulham does become serious, we will definitely talk.”
Ruiz has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, but he insists he is not worried about his future.
“It makes no sense to worry, because I can’t do anything about it,” he said.
“Of course I want a step forward, but believe me I don’t have any problems for a longer stay at FC Twente. FC Twente is a fantastic club.”
Fulham boss Martin Jol is keen to bolster his strike force before the end of August and has also been linked with Tottenham’s Peter Crouch.
