Former St Kilda player Stephen Milne appears set to avoid jail after rape charges against him were dropped.
Milne pleaded guilty to indecently assaulting the 19-year-old girl following a drunken night out in 2004.
The 34-year-old was due to face trial charged with three counts of rape in late November.
However he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge after the Office of Public Prosecution withdrew the rape allegations.
Milne will be sentenced on November 18.
