If this whole “football” thing doesn’t work out for Ronaldo, he can always switch to comedy. Is this the greatest prank in football this year?
Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the most recognizable face in all of Europe, let alone the city of Madrid where he leads Real Madrid in scoring every year. Which is why it’s incredible to see how a crowd reacts when Ronaldo decides to pull a prank on unsuspecting citizens.
With a wig, beard and mustache along with an a fat suit and a pair of sunglasses, Ronaldo went into the public square of Madrid at 2:07 pm – pretending to be a beggar showing off some impressive football skills for spare change – and has dozens of locals pass right by him without even saying a word, let alone recognizing him as the the most expensive footballer in the world.
An hour goes by and even people taking pictures of him on video can’t figure out who it is. Ronaldo even asks some unsuspecting woman for her phone number which she promptly declines – a move that woman will undoubtedly regret if she ever watches the video.
Then when a little boy named Nicolas decides to start playing football with him, Ronaldo finally removes his disguise to the amazement of the crowd and autographs the ball for the child – immediately getting a massive swarm of people surrounding him and trying to get his autograph.
Ronaldo really is incredible – off and on the pitch.
A breakout star with Man United in 2006, Cristiano Ronaldo led the Red Devils to three consecutive Premier League championships and countless accolades before a record-setting sale to Real Madrid in 2009. Since joining the La Liga club, Ronaldo has been virtually unstoppable, scoring 225 goals in just 200 appearances and recording 31 hat tricks. He has scored 50+ goals in each of the last five seasons.
