The former Chelsea boss was first linked with the position at Old Trafford when Sir Alex Ferguson retired, and then when David Moyes was sacked last season, though he was overlooked both times.
Ancelotti has now revealed he never held talks with the Red Devils, though he is honoured if he was even among the candidates for the job either time.
“No, Ferguson never came to Paris to talk to me,” he said. “The story is not right. When I decided to quit PSG I only spoke to Real Madrid.
“There was never any contact at any moment with United. If I was in the list it gives me pride and it’s an honour but Ferguson never spoke to me about it.”
