Gervinho became the butt of many jokes during his time at Arsenal after signing from then French champions Lille, with his lack of end product in particular frustrating a number of fans as he dropped out of the first team picture.
The Ivory Coast international has rebuilt his career under former manager Rudi Garcia at AS Roma, however, and has now hit out at Arsenal for the lack of opportunities and attention that he was given whilst with the Gunners:
“As a child I dreamed of playing for Arsenal, because I loved them.”
“Now I hate them for the way Wenger treated me.”
