1. Tough division
It’s pretty much a given that the Chiefs will not win the AFC West since the Broncos remain one of the top teams in the NFL with Peyton Manning at quarterback. The AFC West proved its worth last season by sending three teams to the playoffs, and the Chargers are set to continue their winning ways with a rejuvenated Philip Rivers.
The division’s competitiveness doesn’t end with the Broncos and Chargers though. The Raiders have made significant upgrades to their roster as the Chiefs have lost key players. While it will be difficult for the Raiders to contend for the playoffs, they have the talent to stay competitive in all of their games. They even have the potential to finish in third place if everything goes right for them, and it will be no surprise if they beat the Chiefs at least once.
