3. Loss of Eric Decker
Decker was not a superstar by any means, but he performed well by reaching at least 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns in his last two seasons. While Manning contributed to his success in a big way, Decker leaving for the Jets will put a damper on the chemistry that Manning had with his offense since 2012. Although Emmanuel Sanders and Cody Latimer should emerge as solid weapons, they do not know the Broncos offense as well as Decker, so it will take some time for the future of Hall of Famer to develop rapport with them.
2. Teams studying Broncos offense on film
The Seahawks defense bullied the Broncos in the Super Bowl, and now other teams will figure out how to neutralize the Broncos offense if their defense can perform well enough. Although everyone already knows how great he is, Manning was not expected to throw 55 touchdowns and lead the Broncos to being the highest-scoring offense in NFL history. In 2014, the Broncos will have a bigger target on their backs as teams look to dethrone them as AFC champions.
