5. Things could still get worse
Many Manchester United fans must have felt the club had reached rock bottom in Athens but the reality is that it can still get much worse for Moyes’ United. Their two fiercest rivals, Liverpool and Man City, visit Old Trafford in March and United will lose both games if they play in the same manner as they did on Wednesday. Defeat in Greece is one thing, but the same of losing to Liverpool or City, particularly if it goes someway toward helping either club to claim United’s titles, would go down in history and the possibility should be avoided at all costs. The United board should act now, before things get even worse.
