2) Chelsea and Mourinho’s record against the big teams
Chelsea play two fixtures against the big sides before the season is out. They face Arsenal this weekend at Stamford Bridge, and Liverpool at Anfield in April.
In ten matches, Wenger’s Arsenal have never beaten a side managed by Mourinho. Chelsea haven’t lost a match to Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United or Tottenham this season, and have a superb record against their title rivals.
If they beat Arsenal and Liverpool, they are effectively ruling the two sides out of the title race.
Similarly, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers saw his side lose to Chelsea earlier in the season, and despite their excellent record at Anfield, most of the squad have not been in a title race before.
