Blues legend includes five former team-mates in best XI.
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard won’t have endeared himself to Manchester City fans after telling the club’s official site his best-ever XI.
The 36-year-old, currently on loan at the Etihad Stadium from their MLS franchise New York City FC, included just one City player in his lineup, with five of his former Chelsea team-mates making the eleven.
There was also no place for his old England colleague Steven Gerrard, suggesting that he shares the notion that he and the Liverpool captain were not a good partnership for the national team.
See below for a run-through of Lampard’s all-time XI:
GK: Petr Cech (Chelsea)
A long-time team-mate of Lampard’s, Chelsea’s Petr Cech is undoubtedly one of the goalkeeping greats of the Premier League era.
