Misfiring Toffees striker reveals he wants to join a bigger club.
Romelu Lukaku risks the wrath of Everton fans after revealing he harbours ambitions to play for a ‘top club’ again despite failing at Chelsea, reports CaughtOffside.
The 21-year-old Belgian international only made the permanent move to Goodison Park this season after a successful loan spell last term, but has looked less good since his £28m transfer.
Still, the highly-rated attacker was pleased to return to his old club Chelsea for the game in midweek, and spoke about his desire to play for a club like that again.
“It was brilliant to play at Chelsea and I had a good reception,” he said.
“They know I’m a good player but that I want to develop so I can eventually get back to playing for a club like Chelsea.
“I don’t have a secret ambition to rejoin — there are other clubs in the world. I just want to grow as a player and eventually arrive at a top club again.”
