Toffees set to clinch deal for Gareth Barry deal…
Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry will join Roberto Martinez’s Everton side, and has arrived at Goodison to seal a deal.
The 32-year-old was desperate to leave the Etihad stadium, after new manager Manuel Pellegrini made it clear to him that he would struggle for first-team game time this season.
As a result, the 53-cap England international lowered his salary demands to force through a move before the transfer window slams shut.
Barry’s arrival could signal the end of Marouane Fellaini’s Everton career, with Manchester United desperate to bring in the Belgian powerhouse before the end of play today.
