Everton are hoping to use their good relationship with Barcelona to bring winger Cristian Tello to the club.
The Daily Express are reporting that Everton are leading the chase to secure the services of young Barcelona winger Cristian Tello for next season.
Tello is a player who has always been touted as one with impressive future potential, but who has never quite made the grade at the Nou Camp, with the young Spaniard almost certain to leave the club this summer, probably on a loan deal.
Everton have a good relationship with the Catalan club due to the impressive work that they did with Gerard Deolefeu during the 2013/14 campaign, whilst Barca also retain a great deal of respect for the Toffees’ Spanish manager Roberto Martinez.
Tello would appear to be a man in demand, with Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and FC Porto also reported to be showing an interest in offering Tello a way out of Catalonia.
The 22-year-old Tello was determined to leave if Gerardo Martino remained as manager of the club, but the arrival of Luis Enrique as the new head coach means that his position could change, with a loan move perhaps being likely to please all parties as Barcelona still believe lightning quick Tello to be a player who holds plenty of potential for the future.
