It’s the final warm-up game for both England and India before they get their World Twenty20 campaign in Bangladesh underway at the end of the week.
Both will be desperate for a win after poor recent results in the shortest form of the sport, with the English losing their last T20 series to the West Indies and then a warm-up clash with the same opposition.
The Indians meanwhile slumped to defeat in their warm-up match with Sri Lanka on Sunday – despite good knocks from Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh – and also failed to make the final in the recent Asia Cup tournament.
Stuart Broad’s side will also have to try and recover from jet-lag after flying over from Barbados and this may work against the Three Lions.
Broad himself is struggling with a knee injury and the captain may miss out, whilst the rest of the squad looks remarkably inexperienced bar a few names; Luke Wright, Ravi Bopara and Eoin Morgan.
Many will be looking towards Alex Hales as the man to impress however, who has been ranked as the No.1 T20 batsman by the ICC in the last 12 months.
