Chelsea’s Belgian danger man Eden Hazard has pleaded with his younger brother Thorgan to return to Chelsea this summer, despite agreeing to join Borussia Monchengladbach permanently, according to the Express.
Eden’s younger brother Thorgan has spent the season on loan with the Bundesliga side and has agreed to sign permanently in the summer, although Chelsea have a buy back clause, Hazard expects he will be in Germany for some time.
Hazard senior wants to two to once again play together at Stamford Bridge sooner rather than later, and has tried to persuade his brother to come back and join him.
The younger brother though, insists both he and Eden appreciate he is at the right club for his football deveopment.
He said, “I am at the right club. I can develop here, have a coach [Lucien Favre] who trusts me, and I am close to my native Belgium.
“It remains my goal to play with my brother Eden at my dream club Chelsea one day, but for now I want to stay at Gladbach for a long time.
“[Eden] also knows that Gladbach are a great club for me.”
Hazard Jr. also admits that the prospect of playing in the Champions League for the first time with Gladbach is more than enough incentive to keep him abroad for at least one more season.
“I have dreamt of playing Champions league since I was a small kid; now we want to fulfil our dreams and those of our fans.”
Thorgan Hazard has made 28 appearances for Champions League hopefuls Gladbach, but many of those have come from the bench. That said, he has still contributed three goals and eight assists this season.
