Midfielder to join this month.
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal with Schalke for the transfer of Lewis Holtby to White Hart Lane this month, the Premier League club have announced.

Holtby, 22, signed a pre-contract agreement with the North London outfit earlier this month and was initially set to arrive in the summer.
But Spurs began negotiations for a January arrival after losing Brazilian star Sandro for the season following knee surgery, and are believed to have paid Schalke just £1.5m.
There could also be a friendly between the two clubs this summer.
German international Holtby has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with Spurs will be available for the clash with Norwich on Wednesday.
The attacking midfielder has made 27 appearances for the Bundesliga side this season, scoring four times.
Capped on three occasions by the senior German national side, Holtby joined Schalke in 2009 from Alemannia Aachen and was loaned out to Bochum and Mainz prior to making his breakthrough with the Gelsenkirchen-based club.
The midfielder, who has an English father and German mother, has made 160 appearances in his career to date, scoring 29 times.
