Blues striker swaps Stamford Bridge for La liga.
Chelsea forward Marko Marin has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan, the Premier League club have announced.
The 24-year-old winger joined the Blues from Werder Bremen last summer but managed just two Premier League starts all season under Roberto Di Matteo and interim boss Rafa Benitez.
Sevilla, who finished ninth in La Liga last term, are in search of a new winger after selling Spain international Jesus Navas to Manchester City for £15m earlier this month.
Before arriving at Stamford Bridge, Marin was considered one of the most exciting wide players on the continent but his career has badly stagnated in west London, faced with competition for places with Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Oscar and Victor Moses.
The arrival of his compatriot Andre Schurrle at Chelsea has further decreased Marin’s opportunities and new head-coach Jose Mourinho evidently does not see an immediate future for Marin at the club.
