Rossoneri confirm transfer of Italy forward.
Serie A giants AC Milan have confirmed on their website that they have signed controversial striker Mario Balotelli from Premier League champions Manchester City.
Man City v Liverpool tickets are still available for the Premier League match at the Ethiad on Feb 3.
The Italy international has joined the Rossoneri on a four-and-a-half-year deal, although the player has been forced to take a pay cut on the £110,000-a-week contract that he was on at the Ethiad stadium.
Milan and City agreed a fee of £20 million that the Italians will pay over a five-year period on Tuesday and now it has been made official by the Serie A side.
“It’s just Milan have acquired Mario balotelli, he has signed a contract until 30.06/2017,” Milan confirmed via their official Twitter account.
The 22-year-old has left City after two-and-a-half years at the club, in which time he helped Roberto Mancini’s side win the FA Cup and the Premier League title, while scoring 20 goals in 54 top-flight matches in the process.
