Old Lady land Llorente.
Juventus have completed the signing of Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente on a four-year deal.
The Spaniard, whose contract at San Mames expires at the end of the season, will join the Serie A Champions on 1 July, although the Old Lady are reportedly attempting to convinced the Basque outfit to release the 27-year-old this month.
Llorente has been linked with English trio Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool but his arrival in Turin will finally end Juve’s long search for a central striker.
The Italians failed in moves to sign Premier League trio Robin van Persie, Luis Suarez and Dimitar Berbatov in the summer, ending up with Arsenal’s Niklas Bendtner on loan.
Spain international Llorente has been with Bilbao since 2004 and has bagged 84 goals in 244 La Liga appearances for the club.
The powerful forward has been marginalised this term, starting just one league match all season after publicly announcing his refusal to sign a new deal in August.
Despite facing boos from the San Mames crowd when he has played, Llorente has stressed he is determined to score as many goals as possible for the club before he departs and Bilbao’s hierachy have stressed that he will not be sold for a token fee this month.
