Delisted Adelaide Crows forward Shaun McKernan will train with St Kilda in the lead up to the AFL draft.
He told Adelaide radio station 5AA that he had spoken to a few clubs, but would train with the Saints with the aim of gaining a place on its list in the November 25 draft.
“I’ve spoken to a few [clubs],” he said.
“Next week I’ll start training at St Kilda which has been good…they’re going to give me a bit of a chance.
“I’ll be there for three weeks and wait and see what happens at the draft.
“[I’m] excited to get down there. They’ve got a pretty young group and got some good people on board so I’m looking forward to it.”
McKernan was selected at pick no.28 in the 2008 national draft and went on to play 34 games at the Crows, kicking 21 goals.
