After their first win of the tournament Delhi will be wanting to make it successive victories.
It should be an even battle today between Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab in the 2013 IPL.
Delhi only won their first match in seven games on Sunday when they beat Mumbai Indians by nine wickets, but their position in the table is perhaps a little harsh on them.
The Daredevils have been unlucky to lose out a couple of times this year – including to Royal Challengers Bangalore in a Super Over – and the victory over Mumbai may be the confidence they need to kick on.
Kings XI have had a steady start so far, winning three and losing three and Adam Gilchrist’s men look like they could challenge for the playoffs if only they can find some consistency.
The return of Virender Sehwag from injury for Delhi has been a huge boost for the side, as his unbeaten 95 against Mumbai was the catalyst for victory and was also the highest score of the tournament until Shane Watson hit 101 on Monday.
For Punjab they have welcomed back South African batsman David Miller to their ranks and his 80 against Pune Warriors on Sunday saw him awarded Man of the Match.
After indifferent starts it seems both these sides are beginning to find their feet in 2013 and a good run of form could easily see either of them fighting it out at the top.
