Could Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo be in line for Premier League moves after record breaking TV deal?
The Portuguese has been roundly criticised for celebrating his birthday just hours after losing 4-0 to fierce rivals Atletico Madrid, but the Colombian doesn’t understand why fans are unhappy with the 30-year-old.
The singer thinks that the occasion was ‘just dinner’ and nothing big. However, supporters have disagreed after a video emerged showing the forward singing karaoke and in pictures with James Rodriguez and Marcelo.
“There is no bad publicity,” he told EFE. “The controversy has brought me many followers, downloads and new fans for my music. It’s been a blessing from God. I know everyone would jump at the opportunity to take some pictures with Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez, and that they’d then gain interest on social networks.
“There’s been some evil spoken about the night, but one must separate the professional life from the personal life – it was just dinner. I don’t understand the controversy. You can’t win every game.”
