Player turned pundit set for speedy return to work.
Former Burnley star Clarke Carlisle is set to make an astonishing return to radio work just two months after his failed suicide attempt, The Sun reports.
The 35-year-old will make appearances on Absolute Radio to give his opinions and commentary on a series of Premier League matches.
He is set to talk to co-host Jon Champion about his life and experiences in a special episode on Saturday night before resuming regular service for next weekend’s FA Cup fixtures.
Carlisle had been working with the station since April last year, but revealed earlier this week that his accident just before Christmas had been a suicide attempt.
He threw himself in front of a speeding lorry A64 near York, but has since urged others that suffer with depression to seek out help.
