The big kick-off for the 2014/15 Premier League season is now just days away, with Chelsea ready to start their campaign with a tie against newly promoted Burnley.
Sean Dyche is sure to have his side well set out and tough to break down, but Jose Mourinho will be confident that his Blues side can do enough to kick off their campaign with three points.
This is the team that was expect to take to the field for the Blues:
Goalkeeper and Defence
GK) Thibaut Courtois – Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is expected to be given the nod between the sticks ahead of Petr Cech, although the battle is a very close one.
RB) Cesar Azpilicueta – Having had an exceptional season out of position on the left side of defence last season, Spaniard Azpilicueta will start this one in a more familiar area.
CB) John Terry – Chelsea’s inspiration capital will remain the rock in the centre of Jose Mourinho’s defensive line.
CB) Gary Cahill – England international Gary Cahill is almost certain to continue alongside Terry, with the two having formed a superb partnership.
LB) Filipe Luis – The Brazilian, signed from Atletico Madrid this summer, will start as the replacement for Ashley Cole at left back.
