Blues head-coach praises Real Madrid star.
Jose Mourinho says coaching Cristiano Ronaldo was the ‘highlight’ of his illustrious career to date.
The now-Chelsea boss spent three seasons working with his compatriot at Real Madrid but relations between the duo cooled before Mourinho left for Stamford Bridge this summer.
But despite winning two Premier League titles during his first spell in West London and claiming the Champions League crown with both Porto and Inter Milan, Mourinho says coaching Ronaldo was the ‘highlight’ of his coaching career.
“Coaching him was the highlight of my career. He’s the most professional player I’ve ever met,” he said.
“A coach and player may have their differences at a given time, but it ends there. I don’t have any problem”, he assured.
Mourinho’s successor Carlo Ancelotti has also lavished praised on Ronaldo this week, describing the 28-year-old as “out of this world.”
