Luiz will miss the match with Everton but should be back for Galatasaray.
There is some bad news for Chelsea as David Luiz will miss the Premier League match with Everton on Saturday due to injury, manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed.
However, the Portuguese coach is hopeful that the Brazilian will be fit to play the Blues’ first-leg of their last-16 clash with Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Jose confirms David Luiz has a muscle injury and will not face Everton. It is hoped he will be ready for Galatasaray. #CFC

Mourinho looks to have also hinted at the transfer speculation surrounding Luiz at the moment – with both Barcelona and Bayern Munich reportedly interested – by discussing the Brazilian’s future.
Jose: ‘If one day we don’t have David Luiz and John the situation is more difficult. John being ready keeps our balance.’ #CFC

The 26-year-old has been out of the first team more this season under the 51-year-old in comparison to what the South American enjoyed when Rafael Benitez was in charge.
During a bumper campaign in 2012/13 Luiz played 57 games for the west London club in all competitions and was instrumental in their Europa League triumph.
However, Mourinho has preferred the partnership of Gary Cahill and captain John Terry in central defence for much of this term and this has limited the Brazil international’s starts to 23 in 2013/14.
Luiz has been utilised in defensive midfield occasionally, but if first team opportunities at Stamford Bridge continue to be limited the centre-back is likely to want a move away soon.
