Ba admits that the forward hasn’t played as well at Stamford Bridge.
Since making the £7.5m move to Chelsea in January 2013, Demba Ba has struggled to find the form that the striker showed at both Newcastle and West Ham United.
With Jose Mourinho now back in charge and Samuel Eto’o having arrived from Anzhi Makhachkala, the player’s chances have become even more limited but Ba says that is entirely the Senegal International’s own fault.
Ba: I want to play. It all depends on me and the performance I put in on the pitch. If I don’t perform, it will be only my fault. #CFC

Ba: … I needed time to settle. I keep working hard and believe the reward is behind the work. #CFC

The 28-year-old has made just one appearance for the Blues since Mourinho returned in the summer and is yet to get off the mark this term.
However, with Fernando Torres still struggling to find form and Eto’o playing poorly in the Cameroonian’s first match for the club on Saturday, Ba could well be given more opportunities in the near future.
The west London club have struggled to make much of an impression up-front with none of their forwards having netted as yet and Romelu Lukaku has been sent out on a season’s long loan to Everton.
