Comments from the 51-year-old were leaked onto the Internet.
Jose Mourinho was left red-faced this week after private comments about the Chelsea strike-force were secretly filmed and leaked online.
The 51-year-old was heard questioning the capabilities of the current forwards at the club and naming Samuel Eto’o personally – making light of how old the Cameroon international is.
Mourinho was forced to discuss the comments ahead of the Blues’ Champions League last-16 clash with Galatasaray and whilst the Portuguese coach was angry with the media, he also had to defend the Eto’o slurs.
Now the 32-year-old’s former national team coach Claude Le Roy has revealed that he has spoken to the striker and that the player is very angry with his boss.
“He is very angry. I spoke on the phone to him,” Le Roy was quoted by the Sun.
“Jose Mourinho went to see him before Samuel had the chance to see the TV pictures and to tell him not to believe everything that was said.
“He also said that he hadn’t said anything about Samuel. But I can tell you that Samuel is not at all happy with what has happened.”
These revelations are somewhat overshadowing the west London club’s important European clash with Gala and Mourinho will be wanting to put them behind him as soon as possible.
The attackers at Stamford Bridge have been disappointing this season, with Eto’o top-scoring with just eight goals in all competitions, whilst Fernando Torres and Demba Ba have also been poor.
