Chelsea could be handed a huge fitness boost ahead of this weekend’s clash with Premier League strugglers Queens Park Rangers as striker Diego Costa is expected to be announced fit to play, according to the Daily Star.

Jose Mourinho confirmed problems with the Spain international’s hamstring and groin kept him out of Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United, and not the virus which led to a trip to hospital last week.
“The virus is fine,” said Mourinho. “It was hard when he went to hospital and obviously it doesn’t help to recover from the injury.
“But he didn’t travel to Old Trafford because of the injury, not because of the virus.
“He aggravated the hamstrings because he played two matches in three days … and was not with us.
“QPR…one week more, I hope so.”
