Chelsea captain John Terry has told a fan on Instagram that he will do his best to persuade the Stamford Bridge hierarchy to lower ticket prices, following the controversy about Jose Mourinho’s comments regarding the atmosphere at the weekend game against Queens Park Rangers.

Terry has also indicated that his teammates and manager Jose Mourinho was also lobby the club’s board to make prices more realistic, after a teenage fan contacted him on Instagram to complain about his ticket rising from £15 to £50 when he was no longer eligible for a concessionary rate.
Mourinho described Stamford Bridge as an “empty stadium” after the weekend derby with Rangers, but received criticism from fans’ groups who pointed out the exorbitant cost of attending matches at Stamford Bridge.
