Chelsea are said to be stepping up their interest in signing Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings as a replacement for John Terry, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 21-year-old has been immense with his displays in the Championship of late, attracting strong interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window.
Possibly set to move for around £10m, Mings could be a great bargain buy for top Premier League clubs, and Chelsea are the latest to show a strong interest in his progress.
With Blues skipper Terry now 34, it is no surprise to see Jose Mourinho building for the future by targeting young defenders such as Mings, Raphael Varane and Aymeric Laporte.
