All the latest Chelsea transfer news as a move to Stamford Bridge for QPR striker Charlie Austin is ruled out while Loic Remy will stay at the club.
According to the Evening Standard, the Premier League champions have pulled out of the race for Austin who had been lined up as a potential replacement for Remy.
With the Frenchman insisting that he wants to stay coupled with boss Jose Mourinho confirming that his future was still in west London, the Blues no longer require another striker.
Radamel Falcao arrived earlier this summer after Man United opted not to extend his stay at the club, and he will likely be the first choice behind Diego Costa or even play alongside the Spaniard.
That will in turn alert the likes of Aston Villa and Tottenham who have also been linked with the QPR ace, although it remains to be seen if they are ready to meet their valuation.
Meanwhile, Chelsea remain confident that they can still sign Everton defender John Stones, but Mourinho will not be pushing too hard to add to his squad as he believes he has enough to defend their title next season.
