The fate of the Premier League trophy is in the Blues’ hands.
Chelsea must quickly move on from the elation of winning their first trophy of the season, following their victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley, as it’s back to Premier League action on Wednesday night.
We predict who Jose Mourinho will pick in his starting XI against West Ham United…
GK – Thibaut Courtois
Expected to return to Premier League duty, after watching Petr Cech take the no.1 spot for the Capital One Cup final.
RB – Branislav Ivanovic
Continues to remain one of Mourinho’s key players – with his position never under threat.
CB – Gary Cahill
Has been unreliable this season, but a solid performance on Sunday should see the centre-back partner skipper John Terry.
CB – John Terry
His experience will be crucial, with Chelsea edging ever closer to the Premier League title.
LB – Cesar Azpilicueta
If his performances continue, the Spaniard could reach the elite bracket of left-backs, along with former Stamford Bridge favourite Ashley Cole… Not bad for a right-footer.
